Business System Customizations

Connect Your Operations Through a Customized Odoo Platform

Odoo can replace a stack of disconnected tools with one system — provided the module selection and configuration are driven by your processes rather than by everything the platform can do.

Value

Consolidation without over-reach

Odoo implementations fail in two directions. Too narrow, and the disconnected tools survive alongside it. Too broad, and a business tries to move sales, inventory, manufacturing, accounting and HR in a single quarter.

We phase it. Start with the modules that address the most expensive current problem, get them working and adopted, then extend. Custom development is used deliberately, so upgrades remain straightforward.

Right modules, right order

Selection driven by current pain and sequenced so each phase is absorbable.

Extended where needed

Custom modules built to Odoo conventions so future versions remain upgradeable.

Adopted, not just installed

Training, data quality and process change treated as part of delivery.

The problem

Business problems this solves

The operational fragmentation Odoo is usually brought in to resolve.

01

A different tool for each function

Quotes in one system, stock in a spreadsheet, invoices in another — none of them reconciled.

02

Stock and sales disagree

Availability shown to customers does not match the warehouse, causing over-selling and manual corrections.

03

Invoicing lags delivery

Billing depends on someone collating what shipped, so cash collection is slower than it needs to be.

04

No operational visibility

Management cannot see order status, margin or stock position without asking three people.

05

Licence costs keep climbing

Several per-seat subscriptions cost more together than one consolidated platform.

Capabilities

What we deliver

Odoo implementation and engineering, phased around your operations.

Module selection

An assessment of which modules to adopt now, which later, and which to leave alone.

Implementation

Configuration, chart of accounts, product and partner data, workflows, users and permissions.

Custom development

Custom modules, fields, views and reports where standard functionality does not fit.

Integrations

E-commerce platforms, payment providers, shipping carriers, banking and third-party applications.

Migration

Data migration from spreadsheets or existing systems, and version upgrades of an existing Odoo instance.

Automation

Automated actions, scheduled jobs, approval rules and document generation.

Reporting

Operational reports, dashboards and exports for finance and management.

Training

Role-based training with documentation covering the processes your team runs daily.

Support

Post-launch support, enhancements and upgrade planning under an agreed arrangement.

Business benefits

What changes for the business

Outcomes our clients engage us for — stated plainly, without invented numbers.

One operational picture

Sales, stock, delivery and invoicing share the same records, so reconciliation stops being a job.

Faster cash cycle

Invoicing triggered by delivery rather than by a manual collation step shortens time to payment.

Lower software cost

Consolidating several subscriptions into one platform usually reduces total licensing.

Room to grow

Additional modules can be enabled as the business expands, without another platform selection.

Delivery approach

How we engage

01

Process review

Current operations documented end to end, from quote through delivery to payment.

02

Scope the first phase

The module set for phase one agreed, with later phases outlined.

03

Configure and extend

Standard configuration first; custom development only where a genuine gap remains.

04

Migrate and test

Data loaded and validated, with users testing against real scenarios before cutover.

05

Go live and support

Cutover with close support in the first weeks, then a planned enhancement cycle.

Technology

Technologies and platforms we use

Chosen against your requirements, your team and your existing estate — never by default.

Security and quality

How we protect the work

Upgrade-safe customisation

Custom modules follow Odoo conventions and avoid core modification, so version upgrades stay practical.

Validated migration

Balances, stock quantities and open documents reconciled against the source system before go-live.

Access control by role

Record rules and access rights configured so financial and commercial data is visible only where appropriate.

Backups and recovery

Automated backups with tested restores, whether the instance is hosted by Odoo or self-managed.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Odoo Community or Enterprise?

It depends on the modules you need and how you intend to host. Enterprise adds functionality and support; Community can be entirely sufficient for a focused deployment.

We assess your requirements against both and set out the cost difference before you commit.

Can Odoo replace our accounting software?

In many cases yes, though local statutory and tax requirements need checking for your jurisdiction. We review that explicitly before recommending an accounting migration.

How long does implementation take?

A focused first phase covering sales, inventory and invoicing is typically several weeks. Adding manufacturing, multi-warehouse or multi-company arrangements extends it, so we phase deliberately.

Can you upgrade our existing Odoo version?

Yes. We assess custom modules and third-party apps for compatibility first, since that is usually what determines the effort involved.

Will customisation stop us upgrading later?

Not if it is done properly. We build separate custom modules rather than modifying core code, which is precisely what keeps upgrades manageable.
