Is RPA better than proper integration?

Usually not, and we will say so. If both systems expose APIs, an integration is more robust and cheaper to maintain than a bot driving a user interface.

RPA is the right answer when a system cannot be integrated with — a vendor platform, a legacy desktop application, or a portal you have no control over.

Will automation replace our staff?

In the engagements we deliver, it removes the repetitive portion of a role rather than the role. The work that remains — exceptions, judgement, customer contact — is the part that needed a person anyway.

What happens when a system we automate changes?

Interface-driven automation is sensitive to change, which is why monitoring and a maintenance arrangement matter. Alerts fire when a run fails, and the automation is updated before a backlog builds.

How do you decide what to automate first?

By measured return: hours consumed, error rate, process stability and how disruptive an outage would be. The assessment produces a ranked list rather than a single recommendation.

Can automation handle documents that are not standardised?
